Abstract

Obstetrics is that the field of study targeting pregnancy, childbirth and therefore the postpartum period. As a medicine, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline referred to as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which may be a surgical field Obstetrics and gynecology are medical specialties that specialise in two different aspects of the feminine genital system.
